Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Los Fresnos Falcons (Los Fresnos, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 20-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hanna for a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Harlingen will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 10-16.

With the loss, Los Fresnos falls to 22-4 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX) to battle the Hawks in a 6A Region IV District 32 challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 18-6. Harlingen South lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Weslaco (Weslaco, TX)
