The Pamlico County Hurricanes softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Havelock Rams to 1 in the Hurricanes non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Pamlico County improves its record to 12-3 on the year. The Hurricanes travel to Jones (Trenton, NC) to clash with the Trojans in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A game on Wednesday, April 13. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 6-8. Jones won 12-2 in their recent non-league game against Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC)

In their next game, the Rams clash with the D.H. Conley Vikings (Greenville, NC) in a Big East 3A/4A game, on Thursday, April 14. Havelock will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 11-1 record after their 20-0 league win over J.H. Rose (Greenville, NC).
