California High School Softball - Hilltop bounces Sweetwater

April 12, 2022: National City, CA 91950

Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) and the host Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA), witnessed Hilltop's softball squad prevail over Sweetwater by a count of 16-4.

The Lancers now sport a 8-10 record. They play next when they travel to Eastlake for a non-league match on Thursday, April 14. Hilltop will meet a Titans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA). The Titans record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Sweetwater moves to 10-4 on the season. The Red devils host Chula Vista (Chula Vista, CA) to meet the Spartans in a Metro South Bay match on Thursday, April 14. The Spartans go into the match with a record of 4-14. Chula Vista lost 6-5 in their recent non-league match against San Ysidro (San Diego, CA)
