Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Malakoff Tigers (Malakoff, TX) and the host Scurry-Rosser Wildcats (Scurry, TX), witnessed Malakoff's softball team nudge Scurry-Rosser by a score of 5-2.

Coming up next, the Tigers encounter the Palmer Bulldogs (Palmer, TX) in a 3A Region III District 18 test, on Thursday, April 14. Malakoff will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the test with a 16-9 record after their 11-0 league win over Rice (Rice, TX).
