West Point Pointers (West Point, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Middlesex Chargers (Saluda, VA), 20-14 in a league challenge.

The Pointers now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host King William for a Tidewater challenge on Thursday, April 14.

With the loss, Middlesex falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Charles City (Charles City, VA) to battle the Panthers in a Tidewater challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Charles City lost 20-3 in their recent league challenge against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA)
