Somerset Bulldogs (Somerset, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Brooks Academy of Science & Engineering (San Antonio, TX), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they host Devine for a 4A Region IV District 29 challenge on Thursday, April 14. Somerset will battle a Warhorses squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Pleasanton (Pleasanton, TX). The Warhorses record now stands at 9-13.

With the loss, Brooks Academy of Science & Engineering falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The travel to Hondo (Hondo, TX) to battle the Owls in a 4A Region IV District 29 challenge on Thursday, April 14. The Owls enter the challenge with a record of 14-12. Hondo lost 11-6 in their recent non-league challenge against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX)
