The Port Allen Pelicans baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting False River Gators to 8 in the Pelicans non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Pelicans (12-15) will now prepare for their match against Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA). The go into the 3A District 7 match with a 10-7 record. In their last match, Madison Prep Academy was edged by Port Allen (Port Allen, LA), 10-9, in a league match.
The Gators (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA). The Mustangs go into the non-league match with a 6-8 record.
