Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Laurel nips Our Lady of the Sacred Heart

April 12, 2023: New Castle, PA 16101

In Wednesday's league challenge, the Laurel Spartan (New Castle, PA) baseball squad edged the visiting Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers (Coraopolis, PA), by a final score of 2-1.

With the win, Laurel upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Spartan host Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA) to battle the Rebels in a WPIAL 2A 2 test on Monday, April 17. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 6-2. Seton LaSalle lost 4-3 in their recent non-league test against Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA)

With the defeat, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart falls to 6-4 on the season. The Chargers travel to Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, April 15. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 7-2. Serra Catholic won 12-0 in their recent non-league test against Riverview (Oakmont, PA)
