Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bellarmine Prep Lions (Tacoma, WA), 31-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host Camas for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 15. Sumner will battle a Papermakers squad coming off a 11-6 non-league loss to Prairie (Vancouver, WA). The Papermakers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Bellarmine Prep falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Puyallup (Puyallup, WA) to battle the Vikings in a 4A South Puget Sound challenge on Monday, April 17. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Puyallup won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Bethel (Spanaway, WA)
