Black Hills Wolves (Tumwater, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Shelton Highclimbers (Shelton, WA), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Thurston for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. Black Hills will battle a Rams squad coming off a 7-6 league loss to River Ridge (Lacey, WA). The Rams record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Shelton falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Highclimbers host Centralia (Centralia, WA) to battle the Tigers in a 2A Evergreen challenge on Friday, April 14. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Centralia lost 9-3 in their recent league challenge against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, WA)
