Pennsylvania High School Softball - Hopewell gets by Central Valley

April 12, 2023: Aliquippa, PA 15001

The Hopewell Vikings nipped the visiting Central Valley Warriors softball squad by a final score of 8-7 in Wednesday's league battle.

The Vikings (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Warriors go into the WPIAL 2A 4 battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Mohawk Area held off Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA), 12-1, in a non-league battle.

The Warriors now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Beaver Falls for a WPIAL 3A 2 battle on Thursday, April 13. Central Valley will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
