Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA), 9-3 in a league challenge.

The Parrots now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Monroe for a East Valley challenge on Thursday, April 13. Poly will face a Vikings squad coming off a 20-1 league loss to Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Chavez falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Arleta (Arleta, CA) to face the Mustangs in a East Valley challenge on Friday, April 14. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 11-5. Arleta won 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA)
