East Mountain Timberwolves (Sandia Park, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM), 21-19 in a non-league challenge.

The Timberwolves now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a 3A District 4/5 challenge on Saturday, April 15. East Mountain will battle a Demons squad coming off a 12-5 league win over Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM). The Demons record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Estancia falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Mora (Mora, NM) to battle the Rangers/Rangerettes in a A/2A District 2/5 challenge on Saturday, April 15. The Rangers/Rangerettes enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Mora won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against McCurdy (Espanola, NM)
