Kentucky High School Softball - Logan County nudges Franklin-Simpson

The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Logan County Cougars (Russellville, KY) and the visiting Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY), saw Logan County's softball squad nip Franklin-Simpson by a count of 5-4.

The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Bowling Green for a non-league match on Friday, April 14. Logan County will face a Purples squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to South Warren (Bowling Green, KY). The Purples record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Franklin-Simpson falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Thursday, April 13. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 6-3. Allen County-Scottsville lost 7-0 in their recent league match against Barren County (Glasgow, KY)
