Freeman Scotties (Rockford, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Medical Lake Cardinals (Medical Lake, WA), 14-4 in a league challenge.

The Scotties now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Maries for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. Freeman will battle a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Kellogg (Kellogg, ID). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Medical Lake falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA) to battle the Eagles in a 1A Northeast challenge on Friday, April 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Lakeside won 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against East Valley (Spokane, WA)
