Perryville Panthers (Perryville, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harford Tech Cobras (Bel Air, MD), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rising Sun for a Upper Chesapeake Bay challenge on Thursday, April 13. Perryville will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Fallston (Fallston, MD). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Harford Tech falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Cobras travel to North East (North East, MD) to face the Indians in a Upper Chesapeake Bay challenge on Friday, April 14. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. North East won 8-3 in their recent league challenge against North Harford (Pylesville, MD)
