Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harvard Hornets (Harvard, IL), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Woodstock for a Kishwaukee River challenge on Thursday, April 13. Richmond-Burton will battle a Blue Streaks squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Harvard falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL) to battle the Skyhawks in a Kishwaukee River challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Skyhawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Johnsburg lost 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilmot (Wilmot, WI)
