Independence Blue Devils (Independence, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Trinity Trojans (Garfield Heights, OH), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Mapleton for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. Independence will battle a Mounties squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to Monroeville (Monroeville, OH). The Mounties record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Trinity falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Beaumont School (Cleveland Heights, OH) to battle the Blue Streaks in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 14. The Blue Streaks enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Beaumont School won 14-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Beachwood (Beachwood, OH)
