The Nelson County Cardinals (Bardstown, KY) softball nipped the visiting North Oldham Mustangs (Goshen, KY), 11-10 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Fairdale (Fairdale, KY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 4-10 record. In their last bout, Fairdale was edged by Beth Haven (Louisville, KY), 8-3, in a league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Portland Christian for a non-league bout on Thursday, April 13.
