In Wednesday's league outing, the host Ninety Six Wildcats softball team scored a close 7-5 win over the Saluda Tigers.

Coming up next, the Wildcats encounter the Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, April 18. Ninety Six will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Hornets enter the outing with a 11-4 record after their 9-5 league win over Whitmire (Whitmire, SC).

With the loss, Saluda falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC) to face the Rebels in a AA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 3-5.
