North Carolina High School Baseball - Alleghany sneaks past Elkin

April 12, 2024: Sparta, NC 28675

Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) and the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), saw Alleghany's baseball squad edge Elkin by a count of 7-6.

Coming up next, the Trojans play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Northwest 1A battle, on Tuesday, April 16. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 10-6 record after their 1-0 league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).

The Buckin' Elks now possess a 2-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A battle on Tuesday, April 16. Elkin will play a Granite Bears squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over McMichael (Mayodan, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 13-1.
