The Longwood Lions baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting William Floyd Colonials to 2 in the Lions league victory on Friday.
The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Brentwood (Brentwood, NY). The Indians go into the Section 11 AA-1 match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Brentwood was overwhelmed by Riverhead (Riverhead, NY), 17-2, in a league match.
The Colonials (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Walt Whitman tipped Patchogue-Medford (Medford, NY), 8-2, in a non-league match.
