The Mineral Point Pointers baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Southwestern Wildcats to 1 in the Pointers league victory on Friday.
The Pointers (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Onalaska (Onalaska, WI). The Hilltoppers go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Onalaska ran past La Crosse Central (La Crosse, WI), 11-1, in a league match.
The Wildcats (0-5) will now prepare for their match against Galena (Galena, IL). The Pirates go into the non-league match with a 3-6 record. In their last match, Galena was overwhelmed by Dakota (Dakota, IL), 5-1, in a non-league match.
