California High School Baseball - St. Francis nips Palma

April 12, 2024: Watsonville, CA 95076

St. Francis Sharks (Watsonville, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA), 8-7 in a league test.

With the win, St. Francis upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Sharks host Monterey (Monterey, CA) to battle the Dores in a PCAL - Gabilan test on Tuesday, April 16. The Dores come into the test with a record of 8-8. Monterey lost 7-6 in their recent league test against Carmel (Carmel, CA)

With the defeat, Palma falls to 7-8 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to battle the Acorns in a non-league test on Saturday, April 13. The Acorns come into the test with a record of 6-11. Live Oak lost 2-1 in their recent league test against Westmont (Campbell, CA)
