The Russellville Golden Tigers baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting West Point Warriors to 5 in the Golden Tigers league victory on Friday.

The Golden Tigers (23-10) will now prepare for their match against Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 14-13 record. In their last contest, Scottsboro toppled Douglas (Douglas, AL), 6-1, in a league contest.

The Warriors now sport a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Hanceville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 16. West Point will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Good Hope (Cullman, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-9.
