Match Summary
The Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Mustangs rode into the Cougardome & put on a hitting display. Both teams fired away in all out brawl. When the smoke cleared, the 'Stangs were the clear winners in 4. Had this been a basketball scoreboard, the score would have ended in the 4th quarter at 92 all & we would have gone to overtime. That's how close these two teams were. Defensively MSAVN edged LBCP 48 to 45 in digs. The difference of the match was Lake Balboa's 16 service errors. Take back 8 of those freebies & the end result could have been very different. Lake Balboa's outside hitter Daniel Ancheta did most of the heavy lifting for the Cougars with 13 tatoos on the hardwood in 33 swings for a .273 effort. The real quality for LBCP came from the other outside hitter who kept finding the holes in the Magnolia defense with 6 put aways in 9 swings with 10 digs. .300 & better is considered good. Arturo hit an otherworldly .667 against, at this moment, the best team in the league.
