East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) supporters were pleased Friday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Statesville Greyhounds (Statesville, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs confront the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) in a Western Foothills 3A challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. East Lincoln will attempt to move on its 9-1 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 2-1 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

The Greyhounds now possess a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host West Iredell for a Western Foothills 3A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Statesville will confront a Warriors team coming off a 1-0 league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 3-7.
