Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA), 31-14 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Spotsylvania for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18.

With the loss, Massaponax falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Mountain View (Stafford, VA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-0.
