Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad gain a win over the visiting Porter-Gaud Cyclones (Charleston, SC), 9-6 in a non-league test.

The Skyhawks now have a 12-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurence Manning Academy for a SCISA AAA Region II test on Tuesday, April 16. Hammond will face a Swampcats squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Trinity Collegiate (Darlington, SC). The Swampcats record now stands at 7-6.

In their next game, the Cyclones face the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders (Columbia, SC) in a SCISA AAA Region I test, on Wednesday, April 17. Porter-Gaud will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record.
