Beckville Bearcats (Beckville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Joaquin Rams (Joaquin, TX), 11-6 in a league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 23-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shelbyville for a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Beckville will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 11-6 league win over Mt. Enterprise (Mt. Enterprise, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 19-9.

With the loss, Joaquin falls to 6-8 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Timpson (Timpson, TX) to battle the Bears in a 2A Region III District 22 challenge on Monday, April 15. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 13-8. Timpson won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Garrison (Garrison, TX)
