Spectators at Friday's league match between the Bells Panthers (Bells, TX) and the visiting Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX), witnessed Bells's softball squad prevail over Howe by a count of 9-1.

The Panthers now sport a 18-8 record. They play next when they travel to Bonham for a 3A Region II District 11 match on Tuesday, April 16. Bells will face a Warriors squad coming off a 23-0 league win over Leonard (Leonard, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 21-7.

With the loss, Howe moves to 9-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX) to face the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 11 match on Saturday, April 13. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 19-3. Blue Ridge won 20-4 in their recent league match against Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX)
