Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 21-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colleyville Heritage for a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Birdville will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 13-5 league win over Argyle (Argyle, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 14-7.

With the loss, Richland falls to 14-6 on the campaign. The Royals travel to Grapevine (Grapevine, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 10-3.
