Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Cubs now sport a 17-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Magnolia West for a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Brenham will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 12-1 league loss to College Station (College Station, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-15.

With the loss, Montgomery falls to 3-14 on the campaign. The Bears host Magnolia (Magnolia, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 5A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 16-14. Magnolia lost 11-5 in their recent league challenge against Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX)
