In Friday's non-league contest, the Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Caldwell County Tigers (Princeton, KY), by a margin of 13-6.

With the triumph, Marshall County moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Marshals host South Warren (Bowling Green, KY) to play the Spartans in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 13. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 18-1. South Warren lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Silverdale Academy (Chattanooga, TN)

In their next game, the Tigers play the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons (Madisonville, KY) in a District 7 contest, on Monday, April 15. Caldwell County will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Maroons come into the contest with a 12-3 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Crittenden County (Marion, KY).
