Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clinton Red Devils (Clinton, SC), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurens for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. Woodruff will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Riverside (Greer, SC). The Raiders record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Clinton falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Red devils host Chesnee (Chesnee, SC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. Chesnee lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Chapman (Inman, SC)
