East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), 6-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 15-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Choctaw County for a 3A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 15. East Webster will battle a Chargers squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to East Webster (Maben, MS). The Chargers record now stands at 11-10.

With the loss, Houston falls to 13-11 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers host Ethel (Ethel, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Ethel won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS)
