El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Royal Falcons (Brookshire, TX), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Ricebirds now sport a 18-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wharton for a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. El Campo will face a Tigers squad coming off a 24-0 league win over Royal (Brookshire, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 2-15.

With the loss, Royal falls to 1-14 on the campaign. The Falcons host Sealy (Sealy, TX) to face the Tigers in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 20-10. Sealy lost 4-0 in their recent league challenge against Needville (Needville, TX)
