Wheaton-Warrenville South Tigers (Wheaton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Glenbard North for a DuKane challenge on Monday, April 15. Wheaton-Warrenville South will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Metea Valley (Aurora, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Geneva falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL) to battle the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Prairie Ridge lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL)
