The crowd at Friday's league match between the Verdugo Hills Dons (Tujunga, CA) and the host Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA), saw Verdugo Hills's softball squad achieve victory over Grant by a count of 13-1.

The Dons now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harvard-Westlake for a non-league match on Saturday, April 13. Verdugo Hills will face a Wolverines squad coming off a 11-1 league win over Marymount (Los Angeles, CA). The Wolverines record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Grant falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Chavez (San Fernando, CA) to face the Eagles in a East Valley match on Wednesday, April 17. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 15-4. Chavez won 10-9 in their recent non-league match against Muir (Pasadena, CA)
