Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 16-10 record. They take the field next when they host Tyler for a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Hallsville will battle a Lions squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Lions record now stands at 4-23.

With the loss, Longview falls to 5-17 on the campaign. The Lobos host Marshall (Marshall, TX) to battle the Mavericks in a 5A Region II District 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 6-14. Marshall lost 14-2 in their recent league challenge against Texas (Texarkana, TX)
