The Malone Tigers softball team scored 23 runs and limited the visiting Jefferson County Tigers to 1 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Malone moves its record to 5-8 on the year. The Tigers host Cottondale (Cottondale, FL) to clash with the Hornets in a 1A District 3 game on Monday, April 15. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 9-6. Cottondale won 12-5 in their recent league game against Sneads (Sneads, FL)

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Gadsden County Jaguars (Havana, FL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 16. Jefferson County will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 0-8 record after their 22-0 non-league loss to Wakulla Christian School (Crawfordville, FL).
