Lakeside Eagles (Nine Mile Falls, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Medical Lake Cardinals (Medical Lake, WA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeland for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 13. Lakeside will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 16-3 league loss to Moscow (Moscow, ID). The Hawks record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Medical Lake falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Riverside (Chattaroy, WA) to battle the Rams in a 1A Northeast challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 3-4.
