The crowd at Friday's league match between the Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) and the visiting Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), saw Lorena's softball squad nip Little River Academy by a count of 2-0.

The Leopards now sport a 17-14 record. They take the field next when they host Troy for a 3A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 16. Lorena will face a Trojans squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Rockdale (Rockdale, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 19-6.

With the loss, Little River Academy falls to 17-11 on the campaign. The Bumblebees travel to Lexington (Lexington, TX) to face the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, April 16. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 21-6. Lexington won 12-2 in their recent league match against C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX)
