Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Williams Yellowjackets (Williams, CA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they host CORE Butte for a Mid-Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Maxwell will battle a Lynx squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Biggs (Biggs, CA). The Lynx record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Williams falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA) to battle the Bulldogs in a Mid-Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Los Molinos won 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA)
