North Carolina High School Softball - Mount Pleasant bounces Union Academy

Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC), 10-6 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. Mount Pleasant will battle a Ragin' Bulls squad coming off a 7-3 league win over South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 12-4.

With the loss, Union Academy falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Cardinals host South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to battle the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. South Stanly won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC)
