The New Waverly Bulldogs softball team (New Waverly, TX), was routed 11-5 in Friday's league test with the host Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX)

Coming up next, the Longhorns encounter the Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 test, on Tuesday, April 16. Tarkington will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Pirates enter the test with a 20-10 record after their 22-1 league win over Crockett (Crockett, TX).

The Bulldogs (2-15) will now prepare for their test against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX). The Wildcats enter the 3A Region III District 23 test with a 0-26 record. In their last test, Onalaska was routed by Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX), 18-1, in a league test.
