Spectators at Friday's league match between the West Harrison Hurricanes (Gulfport, MS) and the host Pascagoula Panthers (Pascagoula, MS), witnessed West Harrison's softball squad tip Pascagoula by a count of 7-3.

The Hurricanes now sport a 13-11 record. They play next when they host West Jones for a non-league match on Saturday, April 13. West Harrison will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Pascagoula moves to 4-10 on the season. The Panthers travel to George County (Lucedale, MS) to face the Rebels in a 6A Region 4 match on Tuesday, April 16. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 16-5. George County won 2-1 in their recent league match against Picayune (Picayune, MS)
