The Rome Free Academy Black Knights softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting West Genesee Wildcats to 4 in the Black Knights non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Rome Free Academy improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Black Knights host Central Square (Central Square, NY) to clash with the Redhawks in a non-league game on Monday, April 15. The Redhawks come into the game with a record of 0-1. Central Square lost 10-6 in their recent league game against Auburn (Auburn, NY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Liverpool Warriors (Liverpool, NY) in a Section 3 Metro game, on Tuesday, April 16. West Genesee will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 2-1 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Chittenango (Chittenango, NY).
