South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), 18-3 in a league challenge.

The Stallions now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host Heide Trask for a Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. South Columbus will battle a Titans squad coming off a 17-3 league win over East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC). The Titans record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, West Columbus falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC) to battle the Eagles in a Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. East Bladen lost 17-3 in their recent league challenge against Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC)
