The Chicago University Maroons baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Lake Forest Academy Caxys to 1 in the Maroons league win on Saturday.

The Maroons now own a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northridge for a Independent School test on Tuesday, April 15. Chicago University will clash with a Knights team coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 7-10.

With the defeat, Lake Forest Academy drops to 1-3 on the year. The Caxys host North Shore Country Day (Winnetka, IL) to clash with the Raiders in a Independent School test on Monday, April 14. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 1-3. North Shore Country Day lost 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL)
